About The Position
 Experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner needed for a short-term locum tenens assignment in California. This 12-day opportunity, starting 05/16/2025, involves working at a clinic providing comprehensive pediatric care for patients 18 and under. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The role includes managing 3 to 4 patients per hour, conducting both sick and well visits. Morning appointments end at 11 AM, allowing time for charting before lunch. This position requires an active California NP license, proficiency with Nextgen EMR, and offers potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients 18 and under
• Conduct sick and well visits
• Manage 3 to 4 patients per hour
• Perform routine physical examinations and health screenings
• Diagnose and treat common pediatric illnesses and conditions
• Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Nextgen EMR
• Complete charting during designated times between appointments
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed
• Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Ensure adherence to all clinic policies and procedures
• Stay current with the latest developments in pediatric care
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in California
• Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification required
• Experience in high-volume pediatric practice preferred
• Proficiency with Nextgen EMR system required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs
• Willingness to complete charting during designated times
