As the Site Coordinator, you'll lead the team that makes those experiences possible. In this leadership role, you'll coordinate a high quality after school enrichment program serving students in grades TK through 8, creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child feels a sense of belonging. You'll support and coach Team Members, build strong partnerships with school staff and families, and help deliver enriching experiences that include academics, arts, STEAM, recreation, and youth development. This is a seasonal position supporting school based after school programs during the academic year.  How You'll Make an Impact Lead a dynamic after school program that helps children build confidence, develop new skills, and experience a sense of belonging every day.  Coach, support, and encourage a team of YMCA Team Members to deliver safe, engaging, and high quality youth programs.  Build strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, families, and community partners to strengthen the program and support student success.  Create enriching experiences that blend academics, recreation, arts, STEAM, and youth development into a fun and meaningful after school experience.  Help ensure the program operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with YMCA standards while fostering a positive and inclusive culture for children and staff.  Schedule This is a part-time, seasonal position that follows the school calendar. Site Coordinators typically work Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., approximately 25 hours per week, leading after school programming on school days. Occasional morning, evening, and weekend hours may be required for staff trainings, family events, special events, and other YMCA activities throughout the year. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Twenty one (21) years of age or older.  High school diploma or equivalent.  Previous experience working with school age children in a group setting preferred.  Experience planning and leading age appropriate, developmentally appropriate youth programs.  Strong communication skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to build positive, authentic relationships with children, families, school staff, and Team Members.  Demonstrated ability to organize multiple priorities while supporting daily program operations.  Current EMSA First Aid and Adult, Infant, and Child CPR certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications as a condition of employment.  Completion of required health screenings and background clearances prior to working with participants.  Why You'll Love Working at the Y Whether you're starting your career, building new skills, or looking for meaningful work that fits your schedule, the Y is a place where you can grow, make an impact, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
