About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician for a 120-day locum tenens assignment at a healthcare facility in California. Starting 08/15/2025, this opportunity offers a flexible schedule alternating between 5-day and 4-day work weeks, with potential to extend up to one year. The physician will provide comprehensive family practice care, including patient consultations, ordering and monitoring tests, managing medications, and prescribing treatments.

Schedule: Week A: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; Week B: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm (flexible day off)

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive family practice and primary care services 

• Conduct patient consultations to determine appropriate treatment plans 

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to diagnose conditions or assess illness extent 

• Monitor laboratory results, medication adherence, and potential toxicities 

• Prescribe and administer treatments as necessary 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care 

• Maintain accurate and timely medical records 

• Adhere to all facility policies and family practice best practices 

• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and assignment duration 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education

Additional Information: 

• California state medical license required 

• Experience in family practice and primary care required 

• Comfort with a diverse range of patient cases and age groups 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
