Under聽direction聽of聽the聽Site Supervisor,聽the聽Senior聽Recreation Leader聽performs聽a聽variety聽of聽activities聽at聽a community daycare facility, where he/she is responsible for the planning, coordinating and supervising recreation activities.聽Work聽requires聽the聽ability聽to聽supervise聽and聽engage children聽and聽serve as聽on-site聽manager聽in聽the聽absence聽of聽the聽Site Supervisor. Work聽requires聽skills聽and training聽in聽conducting recreation activities.聽Works聽in聽conjunction聽with聽the聽Site Supervisor to聽develop and聽expand聽program聽activities聽to聽meet聽the聽needs聽of聽the聽community. Work聽is聽subject聽to聽regular聽inspection and聽review聽for聽conformity聽to聽established聽standards聽and聽methods.

GENERAL聽ESSENTIAL聽DUTIES聽AND聽RESPONSIBILITIES:聽Includes the following; other duties may be assigned.

路聽 聽 Assists in the organization of games and maintains discipline at indoor and outdoor play area

路聽 Observes necessary precautions to secure the safety of recreation participants and spectators and renders routine first aid in case of minor injury

路聽 聽 Conducts a diversified program of children鈥檚 activities.

路聽 Assists Site Supervisor in providing general supervision of the various assigned activities.

路聽 聽 Performs administrative duties assigned by the Site Supervisor.

路聽 聽 May act as a chaperone for field trips or other activities needing supervision

路聽 聽 Assists with cleaning the facilities

路聽 Inspects all facilities, playground and equipment and reports issues as necessary

路聽 Provides appropriate disciplinary measures according to Agency parameters and develops a rapport with children and parents.

路聽 聽 Maintains program equipment and supplies

路聽 聽 聽Assists with planning and implementing recreation activities

路聽 Attends all mandatory trainings as assigned by Site Supervisor and/or School Services Team

路聽 聽 Serves as a mentor for Recreation Leaders and program participants

路聽 Builds and maintains positive relations with parents, school administrators and all recreation employees

SUPERVISORY聽RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists聽Site Supervisor聽in聽supervising聽employees聽in聽childcare聽programs.聽Carries聽out supervisory聽responsibilities聽in聽accordance聽with聽the聽Agency鈥檚聽policies聽and聽applicable聽laws.

QUALIFICATION聽REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION聽AND/OR聽EXPERIENCE:

High聽school聽diploma聽/聽GED聽required聽plus聽two聽years聽of experience;聽college聽degree聽in聽related聽field聽with experience聽and/or聽training聽preferred or a combination of training, education and experience that leads to desired abilities.

LANGUAGE聽SKILLS:

Ability聽to聽read聽and聽interpret聽documents聽such聽as聽safety聽rules,聽operating and聽maintenance聽instructions,聽and procedure聽manuals.聽Ability to聽write聽routine聽reports聽and聽correspondence.聽Ability to聽speak effectively聽before groups聽of聽customers聽or聽employees聽of聽organization.

REASONING聽ABILITY:
