SUMMARYÂ Â
Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills.Â
First assignment will be starting in New Mexico and then you have the option to continue to travel or work in Denver.
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
- Prepare proposals, assist in pursuit presentations, and contract negotiationsÂ
- Manage design engineering projects from concept to completionÂ
- Maintain schedule and budget through design completionÂ
- Develop and maintain project financial projectionsÂ
- Report on progress, cost, schedule metrics, and any issues requiring supportÂ
- Determine and allocate project estimate into financial systemÂ
- Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selectionsÂ
- Function as main point of contact with clients and on-site representativesÂ
- Provide frequent interactions to build positive relationships and future opportunitiesÂ

QUALIFICATIONSÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Electrical or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience Â
- Minimum seven years of construction management or related experience with large projectsÂ
- Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projectsÂ
- Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksÂ
- Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesÂ
- Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelÂ
- Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsÂ
- Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies Â
- Current driver’s licenseÂ

The base pay range for this role is $132,100 - $198,200 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).Â
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.Â
