We're Hiring! Veterinary Assistant
Animal Hospital of Los Lunas

Do you have a passion for animals and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? Animal Hospital of Los Lunas is looking for a compassionate, dependable Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team!

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in providing exceptional care to our patients while supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, has a positive attitude, and enjoys building relationships with both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations and treatments
  • Safely handling and restraining dogs and cats
  • Preparing exam rooms and maintaining cleanliness throughout the hospital
  • Assisting with laboratory samples, radiographs, and patient care
  • Monitoring hospitalized patients
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment
  • Communicating professionally and compassionately with clients
  • Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient hospital
Qualifications:

  • Previous veterinary experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask
  • Dependable, punctual, and a team player
  • Comfortable working with animals of all sizes
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday
