Job DetailsJob Location: MBI TN - Loudon, TN 37774We are building a formal Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process from the ground up, and we're looking for a hands-on operator to build and run its day-to-day mechanics. Reporting to the VP of SIOP and Product Line Sales, this is not a maintenance role — it's a founding build role. Working within the vision, roadmap, and governance model set by the VP, you will operationalize the process: standing up the cadence, tools, data, and meeting mechanics, and keeping it running with discipline once it's live. You'll partner closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to keep demand and supply plans aligned.   This role is ideal for someone who has seen SIOP done well elsewhere and wants the opportunity to build the operating engine here — someone comfortable with ambiguity, cross-functional coordination, and getting a new process to stick in an organization that hasn't run one before.   Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities Process Design & Implementation Partner with the VP to translate the SIOP vision and governance model into an operating process (demand review, supply review, pre-SIOP) tailored to our business, products, and org structure Own the operational build-out of the monthly cadence, meeting mechanics, inputs/outputs, and pre-read materials for each step of the process Build and maintain the KPI dashboards and scorecards (forecast accuracy, bias, service level, inventory turns, etc.) that is used to report process health to executive leadership Build the toolset needed to support the process (Excel/BI-based initially, with a roadmap toward planning software if applicable) Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) Oversight Oversee the weekly S&OE cadence that bridges the monthly SIOP plan to day-to-day execution, closing the gap between what was planned and what's actually happening in demand and supply Monitor near-term demand signals (order intake, shipments, customer changes) and supply signals (production attainment, material availability, backlog) against the SIOP plan Identify and drive resolution of short-term exceptions and gaps — e.g., a missed production run or an unexpected order spike — before they cascade into the next SIOP cycle Coordinate with Operations, Planning, and Customer Service to reconcile in-period shifts and keep execution aligned to plan Feed execution-level insights and recurring exception patterns back into the monthly demand and supply reviews to improve plan quality over time Demand Planning Own the statistical (future) and collaborative demand forecast at the appropriate level (SKU/family/customer) on a rolling horizon Facilitate consensus demand reviews with Sales and Marketing to incorporate market intelligence, promotions, and new product launches Track and report forecast accuracy/bias and drive continuous improvement in forecasting methods Cross-Functional Facilitation Own agenda setting, pre-reads, and facilitation for the monthly demand review, supply review, pre SIOP, and Exec SIOP meetings as assigned Prepare the analysis, data, and pre-SIOP package for the executive SIOP meeting Serve as the day-to-day connective tissue between Sales, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain, ensuring one aligned number flows through the business Identify and frame demand/supply trade-offs and imbalances, and elevate them to the VP for resolution or executive escalation Team & Collaboration Operate as an individual contributor initially; may directly guide or coordinate the work of junior demand planners or analysts as the SIOP team scales, under the VP's overall team leadership Change Management & Adoption Build buy-in for the process across functions that may be new to SIOP discipline Train and coach stakeholders on their role in the process and how to prepare for/participate in reviews Iterate on the process based on feedback and maturity — this role owns continuous improvement, not just initial rollout Reporting & Governance Maintain the SIOP calendar, documentation, and meeting governance Provide the VP with visibility into demand/supply gaps, risks, and opportunities ahead of executive review Partner with Finance to reconcile the operating plan with the financial plan (integrated business planning mindset) #MBICareers #MalibuBoats QualificationsQualifications Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, S&OP/SIOP, or integrated business planning Demonstrated experience either building a SIOP/S&OP process from scratch or significantly maturing one Strong facilitation skills — able to run cross-functional meetings with senior stakeholders and drive them to decisions Advanced Excel/analytics skills; comfort working with ERP and forecasting/BI tools Strong communication skills, including presenting to executive leadership Ability to operate with ambiguity and build structure where none currently exists Preferred Experience Formal planning software (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, SAP IBP, Anaplan, Blue Yonder) Role reporting into or partnering closely with Finance (IBP experience) Multi-site manufacturing environment strongly preferred Marine, automotive or powersports industry   Key Competencies Builder mentality — energized by creating something new rather than optimizing something established High EQ and political savvy to align stakeholders who may have competing priorities Data-driven but pragmatic — knows when "good enough" data can move the process forward Persistent and process-disciplined; won't let the cadence slip once it's established   Work Environment Typical 8-hour workdays with frequent interaction in production and operational settings. Regional travel as required. Extended hours may be necessary based on business needs. Appropriate PPE is required when entering production environments.
