Position Summary

The Manufacturing Production Support Specialist provides technical and administrative support to Production Planning and manufacturing operations. This position supports part number builds, new product preparation, Bills of Materials (BOMs), production data, and inventory maintenance. The role works closely with Production, Planning, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments to ensure accurate information and efficient production processes.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create, build, and maintain part numbers and related product information.
  • Prepare and set up new products for manufacturing.
  • Create, review, and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Maintain accurate production and product data within company systems.
  • Assist with inventory maintenance and research inventory discrepancies.
  • Support production scheduling, work orders, and production documentation.
  • Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments to support manufacturing priorities.
  • Identify data, inventory, and production issues and assist with process improvements.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and production tracking information.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or related technical education preferred.
  • Two or more years of manufacturing, production support, planning, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Experience with part number creation, BOMs, and manufacturing product data preferred.
  • Scheduling software experience preferred (i.e. Planit, ProjectManager, SAP).
  • ERP software (i.e. Priority, Global Shop, SAP) or general ERP/MRP manufacturing systems experience preferred.
  • Six Sigma training or certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficiency in understanding and executing conversions for units of measure (metric, imperial, standard).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
  • Ability to accurately maintain product, BOM, inventory, and production data.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and team-focused.
