Overview
Challenger Lifts, Inc. a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that is capable of providing support through various projects, which include but are not limited to design, development, and testing of products, components, and systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and modifying engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Support product design, prototyping, and testing activities.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on improvements.
- Help prepare technical documentation, reports, and specifications.
- Work with teams in Kaizen events to produce new processes to improve workflow.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure design feasibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Must have an eager attitude to learn and develop new skills
- Must be willing to be hands on with projects
- Must be willing to be forklift trained
- Ability to interact with peers and subordinates.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Working knowledge of:
o Blueprints
o Manufacturing processes
o Lean Methodologies
o Process design
o 6S practices
- Must have excellent communication skills including written (email correspondence, report writing, etc.) as well as formal and informal presentation skills.
- A solid understanding of process flow, process design, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with 3D modeling and simulation tools.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite products including Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, etc.
- Must align with the Snap-on “Who We Are” Mission statement.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
- Must adhere to safety guidelines
