About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in Emergency Medicine for a locum tenens position in Kentucky. This 35-day assignment begins on 08/04/2025, and requires coverage for various 12-hour shifts including 6a-6p, 1p-1a, 4p-4a, and 6p-6a, with a minimum of 5-6 shifts per month. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in the main Emergency Department, collaborating with physicians as needed, and providing comprehensive emergency care. This position offers the opportunity to work in a facility utilizing the Epic electronic health record system.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in the main Emergency Department

• Work independently with physician oversight as needed

• Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergency conditions

• Collaborate with emergency physicians and other healthcare professionals

• Utilize the Epic electronic health record system for patient documentation

• Participate in patient education and discharge planning

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
