Host/Hostess- bar Vetti

About the Role:

barVetti is looking for a professional, customer-oriented Host/Hostess to be a welcoming presence at our upscale dining establishment. The ideal candidate is poised, polished, and skilled at creating a memorable first impression for our guests. Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and promptly seat guests with courtesy and professionalism

• Manage reservations and efficiently accommodate walk-in guests

• Keep menus organized and up-to-date

• Maintain cleanliness of the host station and surrounding areas

• Answer phone calls, providing information or directing them as needed

• Ensure the front-of-house area is always well-presented and welcoming

• Assist guests with inquiries, providing personalized service

• Collaborate with restaurant staff to manage seating flow smoothly

• Support other tasks such as bussing tables, running food/drinks, and polishing glassware

Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or luxury environment is preferred

• Willingness to work part-time hours with potential fluctuations

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional demeanor and polished appearance

• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting

• Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) is a plus

Physical Demands:

• Standing and walking: Prolonged periods of standing and walking to greet and escort guests to their tables.
• Lifting and carrying: Occasionally lifting items like menus, trays, and other light objects (typically up to 20 pounds).
• Bending and reaching: Frequent bending, reaching, and stretching to retrieve items or clean the host station and surrounding areas.

• Part Time; flexibility to work evenings and weekends
