Responsibilities

                                                                              Mental Health Specialist/Aide

Diamond Grove Center is searching for skilled and experienced Mental Health Specialist.  To be eligible for this  position, you must be able and willing  to work all shifts. This will be a PRN Position, in which you only work as needed. Hours will consist of 7:00pm-7:00am, 11:00pm-7:30am, and  3:30pm-11:30pm. 

Diamond Grove Center is a 85  bed, behavioral psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful neighborhood of Louisville, Miss. Diamond Grove Center features individual units for children, adolescents, and offers inpatient care acute care, as well as residential treatment for adolescents. On average 1000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Diamond Grove Center Hospital. As a Mental Health Specialist/Aide you will function as a member of the treatment team, and accepts responsibilities for specifically assigned duties, such as patient observation rounds, suicide risk observation, and assisting with treatment programs.Demonstrates expertise in the performance of tasks necessary to maintain a therapeutic milieu and optimum patient care. Maintains high level of interpersonal relationships inter/intra departmentally.Displays good clinical judgement as evidenced by reporting verbally and in written documentation, all clinically pertinent observations of patients.Performs routine assignments independently. Seeks direction when indicated for unusual or non-routine duties or situations as evidence by asking questions appropriately and promptly, to the designated person.

  4.  Ability to read, write, and forllow written and oral instructions.
  5. Hospital Aide/Treatment Assistant Preferred.
