UofL Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute is a 40-bed, CARF-accredited inpatient facility offering comprehensive, patient-centered care across a wide range of specialties, including brain injury, stroke recovery, spinal cord medicine, pediatrics, and movement disorders. As the nation’s lead center for the NeuroRecovery Network in partnership with the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, the institute combines leading-edge therapy, innovative research, and a multidisciplinary approach to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life—all delivered with expertise and compassion.

 

How you'll contribute

A Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role:

  • Assist nursing staff in providing patient-centered care, including support with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility 

  • Provide emotional support and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey 
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure patients’ needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner 
  • Perform more complex clinical tasks under the supervision and direction of licensed nursing personnel

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent). Additional requirements include:

  • State Registered Nursing Assistant (SRNA) certification or Certified Nursing Assistant certification (CNA)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • Handle with Care certification within 30 days of hire and annually
  • Six months of experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred
