Clinical Psychologist, Behavioral Health, Unit C - IDD

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

Position Summary:

Provides professional behavioral assessment, care coordination, training, and supervision to a designated patient population. The general practice of Psychologist may include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating individuals. Psychologist may also complete behavioral assessments, treatment plan, data analysis, family education and training, problem solving, staff supervision and client and referral agency education, and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Administer formal testing to evaluate cognitive, adaptive, and functional capabilities. Diagnose as appropriate.   
  • Complete functional behavioral assessments and design, implement, and monitor behavior support plans.
  • Provides input to Manager regarding design and coordination of internal department documentation.
  • Supervise Master Level Clinicians on clinical cases as necessary.
  • Provide psychotherapy through individual, group and/or family setting.
  • Provide assistance to the manager in recruiting for positions available in the department.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload to include seeing patients for treatment and writing reports.
  • Be part of a holistic team of providers including occupational therapists, physical therapists, BCBA therapists, social workers and others as needed to provide quality care to patients.
  • Develop and conduct ongoing training specific to the needs of the population served.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:           

None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.

 

Minimum Experience:         

Two (2) years of both licensed practice as a clinical psychologist. 

 

Licensure Requirement:      

License as a clinical psychologist in State of Tennessee.
