Lead problem solving to assist plants and implementation teams in resolving tooling, equipment and conveyor performance issues and downtime. Â
What you'll do...Â
- Coordinate resources to find root cause and fixes, manage and breakdown problems into items that can be validated. Determine proper validation methodsÂ
- Handle setup and maintenance of industrial bar code printersÂ
- Utilize sound knowledge design and implement vision control systems. Familiar with different type of vision cameras and their programing software. Continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and deliveryÂ
- Use FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times of equipment, review and follow up project installationsÂ
- Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvementsÂ
- Update program backups for machinery and automationÂ
- Program new installations of automation, machinery, material handling, and robotsÂ
- As part of a team, review risk assessments and evaluate equipment safetyÂ
- Assist in training manufacturing personnel and plant electriciansÂ
- Read and modify electrical prints and schematics, Auto CADÂ
- Maintain familiarity with OA, CPN/MPN networks and communication protocols for connecting to wireless and wired networksÂ
- Manage installation and maintenance of virus protection software for controls network PCs, perform PC backup disc images and installation of communication and firmware and controls softwareÂ
- Work overtime and weekends as neededÂ
You'll have... Â
- High school diploma or GEDÂ
- 2 or more years of Controls Engineering experience (internship and coop experience will be considered)
Even better, you may have...
- Bachelors DegreeÂ
- Electrical background (electrician or technician) preferredÂ
- Familiar with PLC/CNC (Siemens/ Allen-Bradley), VFD, Servo, Profinet, ABB and FANUC RobotsÂ
- Solid understanding of laser burningÂ
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, modify electrical schematics and use AutoCADÂ
Validated ability to troubleshoot equipment and continuously evaluate for process improvementsÂ
- Solid understanding of networking to include DH+, Ethernet and remote IOÂ
- Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experienceÂ
- Lean Tools – 5S, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, Value Stream Mapping experienceÂ
- Understanding of 8D, FMEA, and DMAIC processesÂ
- Familiar with TQM and Kaizen methodsÂ
- One or more years of experience with MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)Â
- Knowledge of simulation modeling and visual factory management preferredÂ

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $84,480-141,360.Â
