Design Drafter

Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate Office - Louisville, KY 40219Salary Range: $34.00 - $38.00 HourlyCaldwell Energy is seeking a Design Drafter to join their growing team. The basic function of the position is to be part of a team that prepares plant and field detailed drawing packages and accompanying documentation necessary to perform all phases of fabrication and construction, including elevated and ground storage tanks, respective tank foundations, components, and accessories.   Work with Engineering Manager to establish project requirements Prepares support documentation such as shipping lists and material summaries Assists Sales department by preparing bid sketches and quantity summaries Assists shop manager as needed for assembly support during fabrication Keep standard background drawings current Education and/or Experience: Associates Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Drafting, or displayed experience that is equivalent. Must have AutoCad and Inventor Experience Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, project plans, project specifications and governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers (defined above). Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Inventor and Microsoft Office. Other Skills and Abilities: Detailing in mechanical systems experience is a plus, as well as, experience with detailing electrical and controls equipment.
