Division Information

Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium and heavy-duty truck parts sold under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF nameplates. For more than forty years, Dynacraft has provided the company’s truck manufacturing divisions and PACCAR Parts service parts division with high quality components, subassemblies and specialized services. Dynacraft’s manufacturing facilities are located in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX. 

Requisition Summary

Dynacraft is looking for an energetic leader to have a significant impact as the Desktop Admin. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting manufacturing IT Operations and Client IT Operations. This entails the upkeep of IT hardware and software components integrated into manufacturing processes and providing IT support services for administrative personnel.

In addition, the Desktop Admin will also provide Tier 1 support and triage for server and network infrastructure. This will involve troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and escalating to other support teams as needed.

Range of interpersonal contact will include local and division management and staff, Information Technology Division – Renton, and other PACCAR division personnel.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve incidents and service requests related to IT Hardware and Software, including, but not limited to PC’s, mobile devices, and printers.
  • Tier 1 coverage for Server, Network, and Data Storage Systems.
  • Monitor and maintain availability and performance of IT systems.
  • Identify and implement Continuous Improvement to IT processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.
  • Maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with IT service management best practices and industry standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, well organized, flexible and able to handle the pressure of a high-volume operation
  • Ability to effectively work with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • ITSM – IT Service Management experience including incident, request, and problem management. Experience supporting end users through ITIL processes.
  • IT Asset Management – Tracking and managing the lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
  • Windows Desktop Support – OS deployment, patching, and troubleshooting.
  • PC Hardware Support – Diagnosing and repairing computer hardware components.
  • PC Software Support – Installation, upgrade, and support for end users software including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Windows Server Support – Managing file server shares and permissions. Print server and shared printer management.
  • Client Network Support – Managing and supporting client network devices including layer 1 and 2 troubleshooting, static addressing, VOIP, and wireless device configuration.
  • Mobile Device Management – Deployment, management, and support of Apple mobile devices.
  • Active Directory Management – Management of AD group, user, and computer/server objects.
  • Ability to crawl under/over spaces; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible work schedule.

Skills

Additional knowledge in one of more of the following areas will be a plus:

  • Manufacturing and Distribution Technologies
  • Barcode scanning and printing including label creation, scanner configuration, label printer setup, and hardware repair.
  • Pick-to-light hardware repair and configuration
  • Virtualization – Experience working in a virtualized environment. VM management and troubleshooting using virtual server management tools (VMWare vCenter).
  • Scripting – PowerShell experience

Education

  • 1-3 years IT Experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field preferred.
  • Industry Certifications: Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL Foundation Certifications desired.
