This position leads the plant controlling team and is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cost accounting, inventory, internal controls, capital planning, and operational financial analysis. The Director of Operational Finance provides actionable financial insights, ensures the integrity of financial information, and drives continuous improvement across plant operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the plant controlling team, including hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development. Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and plant capital planning, providing financial guidance and recommendations to plant leadership. Oversee monthly financial close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, expense recognition, payroll reporting, and period cutoff to ensure accurate and timely results. Analyze plant financial and operational performance, including profitability, production costs, KPIs, budget variances, and inventory, and identify opportunities to improve operating performance. Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with company policies, U.S. GAAP, and applicable accounting requirements; coordinate internal and external audits and resolve control deficiencies. Oversee inventory, standard costing, fixed assets, capital accounting, pricing support, and related financial processes while partnering with IT to ensure ERP data integrity and effective reporting. Drive continuous improvement in accounting policies, procedures, controls, reporting, and financial processes while serving as the primary finance advisor to manufacturing and cross-functional leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or graduate degree preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in manufacturing, including 3+ years of leadership or people-management experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, internal controls, and financial analysis. Strong analytical, financial modeling, problem-solving, business-partnering, communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate financial and operational results into actionable recommendations. Advanced Excel and ERP/financial reporting or business intelligence experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
