Clariant is currently hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support the Catalyst business unit at the West Plant facility in Louisville, KY. The schedule operates on an 8-hour day shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM). The hourly pay range for this position is $41.28–$45.20, with the starting rate determined based on qualifications, directly related experience, and overall fit for the role. Candidates with extensive relevant experience may be considered for a starting rate toward the higher end of the range. In addition, this position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus, payable after four months of successful employment.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance of the West Plant catalyst equipment and related industrial systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain West Plant catalyst and industrial equipment, including preventive and proactive maintenance.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and line stoppages using root-cause analysis; collaborate with cross-functional teams to restore operations.
- Perform electrical and mechanical repairs, including wiring, PLCs, motors, pumps, heating elements, instruments, and gauges.
- Remove, replace, rewire, and reassemble equipment components as needed.
- Ensure maintenance work meets safety, quality, cost, and efficiency standards.
- Use CMMS/SAP systems to manage work orders and spare parts inventory.
- Participate in daily performance and team meetings while communicating effectively with managers, engineers, and operators.
