Responsible for conducting performance, energy and safety testing on Room Air Conditioning products. This role works closely with engineering to ensure standards are followed during test setup, execution and reporting. Essential ResponsibilitiesĀ
Apply unique technical expertise and in-depth knowledge of Appliances, specialized test environment equipment & software, and related industry standards to review test plans to ensure appropriateness, modify test setups as required, and calibrate test environment.Ā Ā
Interpret test standards to confirm setup and appropriate method to use to determine test stability, valid test and produce test summary report per ISO 17025 Lab Quality Manual.Ā
Maintain the calibration of all chambers and instruments to ensure labās conformance and readiness to test per ISO 17025.Ā Communicate with facilities team when there are equipment issues.Ā
Communicate with engineers daily and during reviews of schedule.Ā Ā Ā
Perform correlation testing before and after calibration and after any room configuration changes.Ā
Person needs to obtain universal refrigerant certification to perform testing on UL testing.Ā Ā
Move engineering samples between the test area, preparation area, and storage areasĀ Ā

Minimum Qualifications:Ā
Thorough understanding of related standards for air conditioning (AHRI, CFR, UL.)Ā
Ability to independently lead work with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgment to set priorities, resolve issues, and drive results aligned with business objectives.Ā
Proven capability to manage multiple priorities through strong time management, organizational discipline, and attention to detail, ensuring commitments are met in a dynamic, schedule-driven environment.Ā
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude for unit set up with lab testing fixtures.Ā

Preferred Qualifications:Ā
Minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory environments with increasing responsibility, including troubleshooting Appliances, test stations, or similar complex equipment.Ā
2 year technical degree or military equivalentĀ
Universal refrigerant certification.Ā
Ā
Working Conditions:Ā
Working conditions are normal for an office environment and labĀ
Physically capable of supporting hands-on lab operations, including movement and management of large appliances (VTACs, PTACs and VRFs), while ensuring safe work practices and mentoring others on proper handling.Ā
May require occasional weekend workĀ
