You'll guide clients through the planning process, lead virtual client meetings, advise on estate and tax planning issues, and help ensure each plan is thoughtfully designed, properly coordinated, and effectively implemented.

This role is ideal for an attorney who is confident with clients, comfortable working with financial advisors, and excited to practice at the forefront of modern estate planning, whether you're a few years into your career or a seasoned practitioner ready for more complex work.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Conduct virtual client meetings to gather information, clarify goals, and present tailored estate planning strategies

  • Draft and review estate planning documents: wills, revocable trusts, irrevocable trusts, and related instruments

  • Lead client and advisor meetings with professionalism, clarity, and confidence

  • Collaborate with financial advisors, internal team members, and our of-counsel attorney network across all 50 states

  • Stay current on federal and state estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws

  • Advise clients on asset titling, beneficiary designations, and trust funding

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with financial advisors and their leadership team

  • Respond to client and advisor inquiries promptly and professionally

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with at least one state bar

  • 3+ years of experience in estate & trust planning (more experienced candidates encouraged to apply: compensation scales with experience)

  • Strong knowledge of estate planning and trust funding; high-net-worth planning experience a plus

  • Excellent client-facing skills: you can explain complex planning concepts clearly

  • Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, drafting, and writing skills

  • Comfort working in a technology-enabled legal practice

  • A genuine commitment to exceptional client service

WHY HARGROVE

  • No billable hour requirement

  • Competitive salary ($130K–$160K) and benefits

  • 401(k) with employer match

  • Comprehensive health insurance

  • Paid time off

  • Flexible work arrangements

  • A collaborative, national team
