Location: Louisville, Kentucky
Work Arrangement: Full-time, in person at 700 E Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, KY 40202.

Hidden Talent, an outsourced recruitment agency, is seeking a highly organized and mission-minded HR and Compliance Coordinator to support the employees of St. John Center, strengthen internal HR processes, and help maintain documentation and audit readiness for their Medicaid-funded programs.

Position Overview

The HR and Compliance Coordinator will manage essential human resources functions while supporting Medicaid documentation and compliance processes across the organization.

This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys improving systems, maintaining accurate records, and helping employees navigate important processes. The right person will combine strong administrative and HR knowledge with sound judgment, confidentiality, compassion, and a genuine connection to St. John Center’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Operations

  • Support day-to-day HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, off boarding, and personnel documentation
  • Support benefits enrollment, employee questions, and ongoing benefits administration using Employee Navigator
  • Maintain employee information and assist with HR and payroll-related processes in ADP
  • Coordinate performance review processes and help managers maintain consistent documentation
  • Assist with employee relations matters, policy questions, and internal HR communication
  • Monitor required forms, acknowledgments, certifications, and employee documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, workflows, and record-keeping practices
  • Support leadership with HR reporting, documentation, and special projects
  • Help ensure organizational policies and HR practices are applied consistently

Medicaid Compliance Support

  • Maintain organized, complete, and audit-ready Medicaid program documentation
  • Review records for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established requirements
  • Conduct routine internal documentation reviews and identify missing or incomplete information
  • Communicate documentation needs and follow up with employees to ensure corrections are completed
  • Maintain compliance calendars, checklists, tracking tools, and supporting records
  • Assist with preparation for Medicaid reviews, monitoring visits, and audits
  • Partner with program leaders and employees to strengthen documentation practices
  • Stay informed about applicable documentation standards, organizational policies, and compliance procedures
  • Help improve internal processes that reduce compliance risks and support consistent record-keeping

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, nonprofit management, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • Three or more years of relevant experience in human resources, compliance, healthcare administration, or a related area
  • Working knowledge of core HR functions, including employee records, onboarding, benefits, performance management, and policy administration
  • Experience using HR, payroll, or benefits technology; experience with ADP and Employee Navigator is highly preferred
  • Experience with Medicaid documentation, healthcare compliance, internal auditing, or regulated record-keeping is strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to identify gaps, improve processes, and follow issues through to completion
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or comparable workplace technology
