In-Home Support Specialist
Wellspring is seeking a full-time In-Home Support Specialist to work one-on-one with adults as they build the practical skills, confidence, and stability needed to live more independently in their homes and communities.
This hands-on role goes beyond simply providing assistance. The In-Home Support Specialist helps clients put their individualized treatment plans into action through skills training, cueing, supervision, medication support, therapeutic behavioral interventions, connection to community resources, emotion regulation, crisis coping, and development of healthy interpersonal skills. Every visit is an opportunity to help someone move forward in their recovery and build a healthier, more hopeful life.
Qualifications:
- Â Must have at least one (1) year of experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of a mental health disorder or co-occurring disorder.
- Experience in non-clinical, but therapeutic behavioral intervention, accessing and utilizing community resources, recognizing mental illness symptoms and side effects, crisis coping skills, and developing and enhancing interpersonal skills is highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- $15 - $17 per hour
Conditions of Employment:
- This position requires clearances of state and federal background checks, multiple abuse/sex offender registries, and clearance of exclusion lists prior to employment.
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screening. This position is a part of an annual, random drug-testing program.
- Must have access to a personal, registered, and insured vehicle to transport clients (when company vehicles aren’t available) and to travel between client locations and related appointments in the greater Louisville area.
- Must possess a valid, active driver's license in good standing.
