General Job Summary:
Assist in the documentation process for the Bank’s loan documents. Review of closing packages including Lease and Letters of Credit requests that are prepared within the department. Tracks Community Reinvestment Act Data for all loans. Assists Commercial, Private Bankers, Small Business Bankers and Retail Officers and their corresponding support staff in performing and collecting all due diligence items on loans. Assists Loan Closing Manager with special projects as needed.

- Supports the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Supports all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and processes all related loan documents with attention to accurately securing all types of collateral by working with Lenders and their support staff to obtain the necessary information to accurately document those loans in compliance with loan policy, credit approvals and regulatory laws
- Tracks CRA and HMDA data on the Bank’s documentation software
- Answer questions via telephone or email regarding proper closing procedures, due diligence, etc.
- Performs a closing quality review of loans prepared by employees and other teammates within the department which indicates any missing items or errors via the use of the Bank’s Documentation Checklist. This is done with a high level of concentration on preventing and eliminating policy and regulatory documentation exceptions
- Pre-closing organization of electronic loan files, vendor orders and obtaining good standing verifications from applicable Secretary of State for every business / commercial loan documented
- Responsible for continuing education and training via the use of the Bank’s computer-based training classes and other classes and seminars as assigned by Department Manager
- reviews legal work from attorneys for Lenders as requested and Flood Certification to ensure compliance
- Performs UCC Searches
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: Minimum of 1 year’s banking experience with Stock Yards Bank within the Commercial Loan Documentation Department
