Responsibilities

Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adolescents and adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services.

The Scribe works directly with the provider to facilitate patient flow and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. Accompanies provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and exam, and document accurately the provider’s encounter with the patient and others present. Lists all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribes patient orders including laboratory tests and medications. Documents any procedures performed by the provider.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent. CNA or medical assistant certification preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital environment desirable.
  • Upper-level typing/computer skills and highly proficient in written and verbal English.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, medical documentation, medical terminology, medical records, and anatomy.
