Remotely investigatingĀ site performance andĀ reviewĀ operational dataĀ to investigate lost energy root causes.Ā
Leading coordinationĀ with Operations teams to share insightsĀ ofĀ portfolio performanceĀ to inform maintenance priorities.Ā
FacilitatingĀ and collaborating with field servicesĀ and other AESĀ technical teamsĀ toĀ diagnose developing plant and equipment related problems,Ā advise and supportĀ majorĀ siteĀ repairs,Ā maintenanceĀ andĀ testingĀ in accordance withĀ business and contractual needs.Ā
CoordinatingĀ 3rd partyĀ and internalĀ reporting to inform performance analysisĀ and meet contractual needs.Ā

TheĀ SeniorĀ Performance Engineer supports a larger operations team and serves as the subject matter expert for technical and engineering matters related to the overall performance ofĀ wind generation assets. Excellent communication, taskĀ managementĀ and planning skills needed, in addition to technical breadthĀ and industry experience.Ā

While performance analysis is the primary qualification, the role will require the review of information related to all practical elements ofĀ wind facility plant operations. The successful applicant, while not an expert, will be comfortable withĀ high-level review of all elements ofĀ wind operations.Ā

AssistĀ withĀ transition from projects under construction/EPC EngineeringĀ to operating assetsĀ
InvestigateĀ operationalĀ assetsĀ through development and use of advanced analytics toolsĀ andĀ utilizingĀ technical assessments/analysesĀ toĀ identifyĀ performance problemsĀ Ā
Communicate and support resolution ofĀ performance andĀ equipment anomalies to plant operations,Ā otherĀ engineeringĀ operations team membersĀ and plant technical analystsĀ Review production estimatesĀ from energy assessmentsĀ and meteorological data sources for accuracy by comparing to operational dataĀ
Measure fleet performance against established KPI metrics and compare actual to forecasted performanceĀ
Produce monthly/quarterly/annual/ad hocĀ performance reports,Ā inclusiveĀ a detailed variance analysisĀ per contractual or internal reporting requirements.Ā
SeekĀ and evaluate proposals for analysis services and consultants where neededĀ

Primary QualificationsĀ
Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical fieldĀ
5+ Years of professional experience in engineering with focus on measuring,Ā maintainingĀ and improvingĀ system performance, preference in direct wind generation asset operationĀ
Strong understanding of industry trends in tools and processesĀ
ProficiencyĀ with advanced analysis and database tools for development of metrics and dashboardsĀ
Ability to work effectively with Microsoft software programs, including but not limited to Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPointĀ
Demonstrated ability to read andĀ comprehendĀ equipment/facility schematicsĀ and technical documentationĀ
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsĀ
High degree of commitment to a quality safety culture and an incident-free work environmentĀ
Willingness to travel within the U.S. to support companyās portfolio ofĀ WindĀ assetsĀ

PE qualifications, or on track to become qualifiedĀ
Masterās degree in EngineeringĀ

Knowledge ofĀ rotating components such as gearboxes, wind turbines, generators, and field instrumentation. Familiarity with condition-based Maintenance programs and technology applicationsĀ
ProficiencyĀ withĀ PowerBI, machine learning, or advanced analysis toolsĀ
Professional experience in engineering with focus onĀ measuring andĀ improvingĀ systemĀ performanceĀ Ā
