We are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager – Rigid Packaging to join our client's team and play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering value across the organization.

Location
Open to candidates willing to relocate to either:
  • Louisville, Kentucky
  • Carrollton, Texas
Hybrid schedule: Work in the office four days per week and remotely one day per week.
Travel: Approximately 25%.
Position Summary
The Senior Procurement Manager – Rigid Packaging will lead sourcing and supplier management activities for a significant category portfolio while providing leadership and development to a team of two direct reports. This role will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure supply continuity, optimize costs, and support strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for rigid packaging categories.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management activities.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and finance.
  • Identify and implement cost savings and value creation opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support innovation efforts.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two procurement professionals.
  • Ensure supply continuity and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience, preferably within packaging or related manufacturing industries.
  • Experience with rigid packaging categories strongly preferred.
  • Proven supplier negotiation and contract management expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with direct reports.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
