The Senior Director Operations and Community Engagement provides strategic leadership for Membership Services, Program registration, Men’s Housing Operations and Resident Support Services.  Serves on Branch Leadership Team and promotes operational excellence, fiscal accountability, customer service and mission advancement.  This role involves strategic planning, staff supervision, program development, and collaboration with community organizations to support residents' well-being and long-term stability.   ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead Daxko membership services, registrations and payments. Oversee financial assistance, supervise and develop member services staff. Coordinate resident admissions with Member Services staff Coordinates room rental schedule with Member Services staff (Gym, 412, Ballroom and 7th floor) Works with Executive Director to establish procedure and fees for facility rentals Foster a community culture that promotes responsibility, respect, and personal growth Address resident concerns, conflicts, and crises in a timely and professional manner. Recruit, train, and supervise member services staff, case managers, and completes performance evaluations  Conduct regular one on one meetings, and a monthly resident meeting. Manage and develop departmental budgets, including rent collection, funding applications, and financial reporting. Seek funding opportunities and manage grants related to housing programs Maintain accurate records and reports related to housing occupancy, resident progress, and program outcomes. Provides Leadership of (2) community-based events each year i.e. Community Health Fair, Back to School Event, Holiday Event, etc. Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, social service agencies, and local government entities. Represent the program at community events, meetings, and advocacy efforts. Has on call responsibilities  Oversee the daily operations of men's housing programs, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices. Develop and implement housing policies, procedures, and resident guidelines. Establish and monitor program goals to support resident success in securing permanent housing, employment, and personal development. Engages in referral programs to ensure resident and members have access to needed resources. Develop and oversee case management services, connecting residents to social services, job training, and other necessary support. Coordinate with the Facilities Director and Executive Director on room readiness and maintenance priorities.  Coordinate maintenance request and repairs of resident rooms and shared spaces. Maintaining a welcoming environment for all residents. Manage relationship with the Coalition for the Homeless Provide oversight of case management services both YMCA staff and contracted agencies Completion of HUD and grant reports Managing resident files QualificationsKNOW HOW/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in education, human services, social services, business, or equivalent  Securing grants and sponsorship opportunities  Previous budget experience  Supervisory experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in housing programs, social services, or nonprofit management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of housing regulations, case management, and trauma-informed care. Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Experience managing budgets, grants, and financial reporting. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, and substance use disorders.
