About M. Peppers:
M. Peppers is an exciting neighborhood French bistro coming this spring to the Highlands. Focusing on traditional French cookery with local ingredients and a concentration on French and American wine and classic cocktails that pair harmoniously together.

Schedule: Candidates must be available to work evening shifts and weekends, as these are essential to the role.

Overview:
We are seeking a Cook to join our team, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and kitchen efficiency. This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare dishes according to recipes and Chef’s instructions.

• Maintain consistent portioning, plating, and presentation standards.

• Manage your assigned station, ensuring ingredients are stocked and fresh.

• Fill guest orders in a timely manner, maintaining high quality.

• Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with food safety regulations.

• Assist with inventory, deliveries, and waste reduction efforts.

• Communicate effectively with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service.

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

• Support kitchen teamwork by helping train new team members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience as a cook in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.

• Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper ingredient handling.

• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

• Working in hot, humid, and noisy environments with hard surfaces.
