About The Position

 We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day locum tenens assignment at a Clinic in Kentucky, starting 06/02/2025. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care services, including management of chronic conditions, preventative care, and acute "sick call" cases. Responsibilities include conducting annual physical exams, managing conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, as well as performing trauma triage when needed. The position may also involve infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases. The NP will be responsible for charting notes, medication refills, and managing PA/NP lines. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a diverse primary care setting with potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients of all ages
  • Manage chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia
  • Conduct annual physical exams and preventative care clinics
  • Handle "sick call" cases including runny nose, headaches, and back pain
  • Perform trauma triage as needed
  • Conduct infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases when required
  • Chart patient notes and manage electronic health records
  • Process medication refills and manage PA/NP lines
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient operations
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
  • Stay updated on the latest primary care practices and treatments
