Job Overview:

The Production Technician / Shift Break role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the Loveland, CO Air Separation Facility. Responsibilities include routine operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and loading product transports in the fill zone.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Standard: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (≈ 2/3 of the year)

  • Shift Coverage: 2:30 AM – 2:30 PM or 2:30 PM – 2:30 AM, when covering for 12-hour shift operators’ PTO (≈ 1/3 of the year)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strictly follow company safety policies and report incidents/near misses.

  • Operate facility equipment safely and efficiently; adjust controls for flows, pressures, and purities.

  • Ensure product quality meets customer requirements and maintain Quality Program.

  • Monitor equipment performance (cooler approaches, water temperature rise, unit efficiency).

  • Read and interpret P&IDs and control logic.

  • Follow all SMP, SOP, COP, OSS, OPS alerts, and technical bulletins.

  • Troubleshoot fill zone and backup system issues.

  • Conduct water tests on cooling towers and adjust as needed.

  • Maintain building and grounds equipment.

  • Train and mentor new employees (with approval).

  • Monitor and communicate contractor activities as required.

  • Support corrective and preventive maintenance with the maintenance team.

  • Complete all LMS training modules and OJT within required timelines.

  • Use computers and Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Perform routine, focused duties; role includes outdoor work in various weather conditions.



Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).

  • Associate’s degree in Applied Sciences or equivalent apprenticeship (preferred).

  • Prior experience in continuous chemical operations (preferred).

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong housekeeping and safety practices.

  • Relevant computer/technical skills.

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs/ladders, work in confined spaces, and wear required PPE.

Salary:

Pay commensurate with experience. Open to salary range $52,500 - $77,000.
