About the Role:

UKG is looking for a Lead Product Manager to help define and deliver the future of Workforce Planning within the Pro Workforce Management product suite. This individual contributor role will own key product areas that help customers anticipate labor demand, align staffing plans with business goals, and make confident workforce decisions.
The role spans forecasting and strategic workforce planning capabilities, with a focus on creating a more unified configuration and planning experience over time. You will partner closely with customers, engineering, design, architecture, services, support, sales, and go-to-market teams to shape product strategy, define solutions, and deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate has strong enterprise SaaS product management experience, workforce planning or labor forecasting domain knowledge, and a solid understanding of workforce management workflows such as scheduling, timekeeping, absence, compliance, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own product strategy and roadmap for assigned areas within Workforce Planning, aligning priorities with customer needs, business objectives, market opportunities, and the long-term direction toward a more unified planning experience.
• Lead customer and market discovery by synthesizing customer research, usage data, field feedback, support trends, and competitive insights into clear problem statements, product opportunities, and measurable outcomes.
• Serve as a Workforce Planning domain leader across concepts such as demand forecasting, labor modeling, headcount planning, staffing targets, coverage analysis, budget alignment, common configuration, schedule readiness, and variance tracking.
• Define and deliver product solutions by translating strategy and discovery insights into requirements, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release-ready product decisions for agile development teams.
• Drive cross-functional execution and alignment by partnering with engineering, UX, architecture, QA, product marketing, services, support, sales, and leadership to communicate priorities, manage tradeoffs, and support successful delivery and adoption.
• Use data to measure and improve outcomes including adoption, engagement, forecasting accuracy, planning effectiveness, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and business impact.
• Advance connected and AI/ML-enabled planning experiences that integrate effectively across forecasting, configuration, scheduling, timekeeping, absence, labor analytics, reporting, budgeting, and broader WFM and HCM workflows.

About you,

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of progressive product management experience, including ownership of product areas or major product initiatives in a SaaS environment.
• Experience with workforce planning, labor forecasting, labor planning, workforce management, operational planning, or a closely related domain.
• Demonstrated success delivering enterprise SaaS products from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Strong product management skills, including customer discovery, roadmap ownership, prioritization, requirements definition, agile delivery, and outcome measurement.
• Ability to translate complex customer and business problems into clear product requirements and practical SaaS solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience using data, customer research, usage insights, and business cases to inform product decisions.
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled product capabilities, including a working understanding of machine learning concepts, predictive modeling, forecasting methods, model outputs, accuracy measurement, and practical application of ML-driven insights in customer-facing workflows.
• Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and present complex concepts clearly to technical, business, and leadership audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Workforce Management software, including scheduling, timekeeping, absence, labor planning, forecasting, analytics, or compliance workflows.
• Experience with forecasting and planning workflows such as demand drivers, labor standards, planning assumptions, staffing models, scenario modeling, budget alignment, forecast accuracy, common configuration, or plan-versus-actual analysis.
• Experience in labor-intensive verticals such as retail, healthcare, manufacturing, services, distribution, hospitality, or public sector.
• Experience with product integrations, APIs, data pipelines, analytics platforms, planning models, optimization, predictive analytics, or recommendation systems.
• Experience launching products or major capabilities for complex enterprise customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Human Resources, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
