Description

  

Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout the Lowell region, including receiving, inventory control, job staging, service parts, warehouse organization, and company fleet maintenance. Success in this role means installation crews can arrive, load their materials quickly, and get to the job site without delays.


What You'll Do

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products.
  • Report damage, missing, or incorrect shipments within 24 hours.
  • Stage materials for upcoming installations by crew and scheduled installation date.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with production leadership to resolve them.
  • Order, receive, stage, and track service parts for the service department.
  • Process manufacturer returns, warranty claims, and product credits while tracking each to completion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Oversee company vehicles, including maintenance schedules, oil changes, repairs, inspections, and registrations.
  • Deliver materials to jobsites when necessary to support installation schedules.
  • Identify recurring inventory shortages, product issues, or supplier concerns and communicate them to management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that increase warehouse efficiency and job readiness.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, inventory, logistics, or operations experience required.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (or willingness to become certified).
  • Comfortable using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift to 100 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Construction materials or building products experience.
  • Inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Fleet or vehicle maintenance coordination.
  • Shipping, receiving, and warehouse logistics.
  • Home improvement, remodeling, or window and door industry experience.

Success in This Role

Successful Warehouse Managers consistently:

  • Maintain highly accurate inventory.
  • Ensure installation materials are staged before crews arrive.
  • Minimize installation delays caused by missing materials.
  • Process receiving discrepancies promptly.
  • Keep service technicians supplied with the correct parts.
