Our client, an established commercial construction company in the Philadelphia area, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to independently oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys having significant ownership of their projects. New business is primarily generated by ownership, allowing the Project Manager to focus on execution, client relationships, profitability, and successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage multiple commercial construction projects
• Own project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall financial performance
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal departments
• Partner closely with Superintendents throughout construction
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchasing, invoicing, and project documentation
• Monitor project costs, profitability, safety, and quality
• Participate in estimating, budgeting, bidding, and contract negotiations
• Manage projects through punch list, closeout, and final turnover
• Support and oversee Assistant Project Managers when assigned




Requirements

• Strong commercial construction background
• Proven experience independently managing projects from start to finish
• Stable employment history with demonstrated project ownership
• Strong understanding of estimating, scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor management
• Financially driven with the ability to manage the business side of each project
• Strong client communication and negotiation skills
• Self directed and comfortable operating with minimal oversight
