Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtain signatures from all visitors.
  • Maintain visitor logs.
  • Make rounds in a timely and unpredictable manner.
  • Provide assistance to nursing staff or any other person who may need reinforcement.
  • Establish positive interaction with patients and visitors.
  • Enforce Hospital policies related to safety and security.
  • Provide written documentation of visitor/ patient complaints and concerns.
  • Communicate any problems to manager in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.

Knowledge and Job Skills:

  • Oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills.
  • Able to participate in managing unsatisfied patients, visitors, etc.
  • Able to deal with crisis.
  • Able to lift patients.
  • Physical dexterity.
  • Able to recognize untoward, emergent or unusual situations or behaviors.
  • Able to work in a manner that assures the safety of oneself, others and equipment.

 

Education:

  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent (GED) required.

Experience:

Hospital Security experience preferred.

2-year experience in Security is required.


Schedule:

  1. 6:30am-3pm with an every other weekend rotation (PT)
  2. 2:30pm-11pm with an every other weekend rotation (PT)
  3. 10:30pm-7am with an every other weekend rotation (PT)
