Position Description:
Provide administrative support to executive management and executive support staff
Apply knowledge of legal concepts and processes to assist in the more efficient operation of the legal department by undertaking a variety of paraprofessional duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Run Daily Reports
Update internal patent log and coordinate with IS for posting on internal web
Maintain patent and trademark files
Perform research projects including, but not limited to, legal and industry online research
Update and distribute representative list
Update pricing in ROI
Maintain representative agreements
Update organization charts
Update and distribute NAFTA agreement
Compile critical issues for distribution to staff
Catalog/maintain competitor files
Process and maintain files for unsolicited product submissions
Travel arrangements
Update TGPro (PTO) for executive direct reports
Draft letters and prepare correspondence
Maintain legal files
Process export licenses
Assist with employee sale
Take notes/minutes for various meetings as required
Other assignments and tasks as required
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum of 5 years of related work experience
Paralegal Certificate or 2 years paralegal work experience
Candidate must possess excellent computer knowledge and be enthusiastic about learning new program and skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Data and website experience
Familiarity with online legal research engines (e.g., Westlaw or Lexis)
Ability to multi-task while maintaining disciplined attention to detail and priorities in a changing business development
Ability to work well with people at all levels of the company
