Job Title: Warehouse Assistant

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives, inspects, and stores materials and supplies in accordance with Cooperative procedures.
- Maintains adequate inventory levels of materials and supplies to support daily operations.
- Assists in ensuring proper inventory control by accurately tracking material receipts, issues, and transfers.
- Pulls, stages, and distributes materials for daily work orders.
- Enters material receipts, issues, and departmental charge details into the Cooperative’s inventory management system.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and organized warehouse work environment in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Operates forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with training requirements.
- Distributes pole sales materials and meter sockets as directed.
- Deliver materials to job sites and other Cooperative facilities as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Be a champion of safety culture.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Two years of experience in warehousing and inventory control.
- Basic computer skills with software applications (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic math and communications skills.
- Must complete requirements for CDL license and forklift certification.
Working Conditions
- Duties are primarily performed indoors, not in an environmentally controlled setting.
- Overtime work during emergency situations.
- Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
