POSITION SUMMARY
Machine Operator III is responsible for operating machinery. Machine Operator III involves basic tasks related to machine operation and production support. Machine Operator III work under close supervision and follows established procedures to ensure the efficient and safe operation of equipment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Ability to start and stop the machine safely without supervision.
•   Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)
•   Ability to place raw material or unfinished parts and remove finished parts from machine safely.
•   Monitor machine operation.Â
•   Check part quality with designated measurement instruments.Â
•   Understand when and how to stop machine safely.Â
•   Perform basic maintenance tasks on machinery, such as cleaning and lubrication.
•   Operate tools and machinery to aid the manufacturing process.Â
•   Perform periodic checks on equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
•   Oversee the machine while executing tasks and make necessary adjustments to improve results. Â
•   Produce quality parts according to manufacturing targets and schedules as directed by the Plant Manager.Â
•   Record all machine actions and log completed parts for record keeping.Â
•   Keep a clean and orderly work area.Â
•   Perform other duties that may be assigned by the Plant Manager.Â
•   Read and understand drawingsÂ
•   Ability to change machine Setting to accommodate different sizes and dimensionsÂ
•   Must have a further understanding of thread dimensions and thread terminologyÂ
•   Ability to guide Machine Operator I with ongoing obstaclesÂ
•   Understand Custom Pipe part number convention??Â
•   Program CNC Machines
•   Mentor, support and train Machine Operator II’s
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
•   High school diploma or equivalent. Adequate work experience may be substituted in lieu of a diploma or GED.Â
•   Willingness to follow written or oral work instructions and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.Â
•   Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
•   Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
•   Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•   Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
•   Willingness to follow safety protocols and procedures (e.g. constant use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)).
•   Perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Â
PREFERRED SKILLS
•   Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing facility.Â
•   Familiarity of various manufacturing tools and machinery including but not limited to facers, lathes, CNC’s, and other mechanical machinery.
•   Willingness to work in shifts that may include early or late hours, weekends, or overtime if necessary.Â
•   Ability to read, write and speak in English
PhysicalÂ
•   Ability to lift up to 50 lbs,Â
•   to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time.Â
