Patient Coordinator | Outpatient | Full-time | 2431 S. Loop 289, Lubbock, TX 79423

As a Patient Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring our outpatient clinic operates efficiently. Our South Loop clinic provides comprehensive outpatient physical therapy services for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgery, sports injuries, concussions, balance and vestibular disorders, chronic pain, arthritis, and work-related injuries. The team utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches, including manual therapy and aquatic therapy with underwater treadmills, to help patients achieve their goals. As the first person patients meet, you'll help ensure every visit begins with outstanding service and compassionate care.

Your Role

  • Serve as the first point of contact, greeting patients with professionalism and outstanding customer service.
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain an efficient daily clinic schedule.
  • Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed.
  • Coordinate physician referrals and manage incoming documentation.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
  • Collaborate with therapists and administrative staff to deliver an exceptional patient experience.
  • Assist with front office operations and maintain a welcoming, organized clinic environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical office experience with insurance verification and physician referrals preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and standard office software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
