How You’ll Make a Difference

You’ll keep heavy material handling equipment running safely, reliably, and according to manufacturer specifications. From diagnosing complex failures to rebuilding major components, your work helps minimize downtime and keeps our customers moving.

You’ll also be a trusted face of Briggs in the field—bringing professionalism, craftsmanship, and a Safety-First mindset to every job.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild heavy material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, drive axles, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.

  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, major component repairs, and basic welding while following manufacturer specifications and Company safety procedures.

  • Deliver dependable service at customer locations and in the shop, maintain needed parts and supplies, and complete service documentation accurately and on time.

  • Protect our Safety First culture by following Company, DOT, OSHA, and other applicable requirements while completing ongoing technical training and supporting the broader service team.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED and 3+ years of experience repairing designated heavy equipment, material handling equipment, or equipment in a related industry; technical or trade school training is preferred.

  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills, along with experience using precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges; welding or fabrication experience is a plus.

  • Strong customer service and communication skills, solid knowledge of applicable equipment and operations, and certification on 65% of the designated product line; technician certifications are preferred.

  • A valid driver’s license, your own tools, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and flexibility to travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.
