Delivers, organizes, and develops the content for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program. May also assist with the delivery of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program. May be required to conduct fitness assessments exercise prescriptions and health and fitness consultations for patients in Cardiac Rehabilitation and/or members of a 'wellness' center within the facility. May serve as an exercise test technologist in the Nuclear Cardiology department.

Working hours are from 8:30 am to 5:30 PM and will work one Saturday a month conducting stress testing.

Monday-Wednesday-Friday in the Cardiac Rehab.

Tuesday-Thursday in Pulmonary Rehab.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Health/Medical-related field of study or Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years' experience.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's Degree: Health/Medical-related field of study or Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology with completed internship and training.
  • Coursework/Training: Coursework/credit in Cardiac Rehabilitation-related subjects.
  • Upon hire: American College of Sports Medicine Certification (ACSM).
  • Upon hire: Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional - American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
  • 300 hours internship or volunteer experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Or
  • 6 months of direct cardiac patient care. Or
  • 6 months of teaching health-related topics to adults.
  • 1 year of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation.
  • 1 year of experience as a Fitness Instructor and/or Personal Trainer.
  • 1 year of experience in a stress testing environment.
  • 1 year of experience with Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
