Status: Non-Exempt Reports to: Housekeeping Manager JOB SUMMARY The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and quality of all hotel linens and guest laundry. This role supports the team by maintaining an efficient laundry operation, contributing to the overall guest experience and hotel operations. This will be an evening role, working PM Hours. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS Operational Responsibilities Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron hotel linens and guest laundry. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment. Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages to the supervisor. Guest Services Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest inquiries. Ensure guest satisfaction by accommodating special laundry requests. Team Support and Training Assist in training new laundry attendants as needed. Support team performance by collaborating with colleagues. Communication and Reporting Communicate effectively with the housekeeping manager and other departments. Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately. Safety & Compliance Follow all hotel policies and procedures. Adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment. QualificationsESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective time management and problem-solving skills Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred Physical Requirements Sitting: Occasional Standing/Walking: Frequent, including standing for long periods Lifting/Carrying: Up to 50 lbs, such as laundry bags and supplies Other Physical Requirements: Handling, grasping, and crouching as needed Working Environment Interior: Laundry room and storage areas BASICS Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas Display courteous behavior with guests and team members Report any unsafe conditions immediately Ensure laundry equipment is in proper working condition Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is a plus Acknowledgment I have read and understand the job description as stated above and accept that tasks may be modified as needed.
