The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. Â These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level, or equivalent educ/experience
- Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart AssociationÂ
- Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals, orÂ
- Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing, orÂ
- Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer AssociationÂ
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 6 months PCT experience in an acute care setting.
- 6 months Phlebotomy experience.
