Position

Expert Mechanical CAD Engineer

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced Expert Mechanical CAD Engineer to join an automotive electronics project. The successful candidate will support the mechanical design and development of electronic hardware components, working closely with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify 3D mechanical designs using Siemens NX.

  • Design plastic injection-molded and die-cast components for automotive electronic products.

  • Prepare and maintain 3D models and manufacturing drawings in accordance with company and customer standards.

  • Manage CAD data and documentation using Teamcenter.

  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability and compliance with design requirements.

  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, simulation, manufacturing, and project teams throughout the product development process.

  • Participate in technical reviews, design workshops, and customer meetings when required.

  • Ensure designs comply with automotive quality and engineering standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in automotive electronic hardware design.

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Siemens NX 11 / NX 12.

  • Proven experience in:

    • Plastic component design

    • Die-cast component design

  • Practical experience working with Teamcenter.

  • Good understanding and practical application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

  • Good written and spoken English.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automotive product development processes.

  • Experience working in international engineering teams.

  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

  • Familiarity with automotive quality standards and APQP processes is considered an advantage.

Project Details

  • Work Model: Remote / Hybrid

  • Location: Remote work is possible; however, the engineer must be available to attend workshops and key project meetings at the customer's office when required.
