Description

  

Summary: A Material Handler is responsible for moving, storing and managing material in a warehouse or production environment, ensuring efficient inventory management and logistics support.


Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Material Movement:      Load, unload and transport materials withing the warehouse or production area. This includes operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items safely and efficiently
  • Inventory Management:      Maintain accurate records by tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts and documenting materials received and shipped. Ensure materials are stored in designated locations. Assist in keeping organized inventory. Monitor purge material inventory for reorder point. 
  • Order Fulfillment:      Pull and verify materials for production orders, ensuring that the correct items are delivered to appropriate workstations, weighed and returned to designated warehouse location in a timely manner. Materials should be put away within 24-36 hours. Prebuild brown boxes for efficiency 10 each.  
  • Quality Control: Inspect materials for damage and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Report any discrepancies or issues to manager. Boxes and bags will clean of dust and pellets. Zip ties will be used on bags.

 

Requirements

 

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

  • Scanning and sorting incoming/outgoing stock.
  • Equipment Operation such as forklifts, pallet jacks 
  • Receiving, stocking and stacking.
  • Pulling, packing and loading.
  • Lifting and performing physical tasks when needed to move materials
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency.
  • Able to work independently and as a team.


 Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 6 months + product/warehouse experience.
  • Forklift certification within 90 days of job entry.
  • Familiarity with Radio Frequency (RF) equipment is pr
