We are expanding our Supply Chain team and seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Supervisor to oversee and optimize transportation operations across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities:

Transportation & Fleet Coordination:

  • Collaborate with Transportation Manager for preparation and conveyance of all domestic and international shipments to include preparing hazardous material shipments and documentation in compliance with DOT, FMCSA and 49 CFR HAZMAT regulations.
  • Coordinate with 3PL providers and carriers for timely pickup and deliveries to and from multiple locations, to include various X-Bow sites.
  • Optimize transportation schedules to meet project delivery deadlines and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and maintain transportation equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Maintain transportation records and documentation.

Team Leadership & Transportation Oversight:

  • Supervise, advise and mentor transportation team members on-site while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards and DOT regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with logistics staff to develop and implement logistics strategies to support company operations and growth.
  • Support site teams and corporate leadership to align logistics operations with company goals.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation or dispatch operations.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a transportation supervisor role.
  • Solid understanding of DOT, FMCSA and 49 CFR HAZMAT regulations
  • A valid CDL‑A or CDL‑B is required

Personnel Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, mentor and develop transportation personnel.
  • Conduct employee training, cross-training, coaching and prepare performance evaluations.
  • Establish accountability standards and promote a culture of safety, professionalism and continuous improvement.
  • Support succession planning and employee development initiatives.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and ERP platforms for inventory management and transportation schedule management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with TMS, YMS, WMS systems.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with electronic logging devices, Drivecam and routing systems.
  • Understanding of transportation operations in a highly regulated manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Experience working with hazardous materials and hazardous shipping documentation.

Leadership and Problem-Solving:

  • Serve as alternate transportation liaison to site leadership and report to Transportation Manager
  • Schedule work assignments for transportation staff and vehicle operations technicians and prioritize daily operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Gather metrics and prepare transportation performance reports upon request
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements
