Job Purpose

 

Under minimal supervision, plans, coordinates and controls production and capacity priorities in all manufacturing locations to meet plant and corporate objectives; maintains raw material and finished goods inventory stock levels to support the Master Production Schedule contributing to minimum inventory, maximum customer service levels and company profitability.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Under minimal supervision, develops, updates, and maintains stocking levels of all finished goods and sub-assemblies in all manufacturing locations to achieve weekly production schedules; reviews stocking levels of injection molding, metal-stamped parts and Mexican-produced sub-assemblies to support sub-assembly and finished goods production requirements.
  • Creates and maintains spreadsheets, charts, graphs for scheduling and reporting in weekly MPS meetings.
  • Maintains integrity of the database; records additions, deletions and changes to the Item Master File.
  • Participates in special projects such as Forecast and Safety Stock Reviews, maintenance, changes in bills of materials, etc.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy condition on company property to achieve the best working environment possible for all employees and visitors.
  • Performs duties in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other assignments as requested or as business needs require.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with 5 to 7 years’ related manufacturing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must be computer proficient and have an APICS certificate.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common business journals.  Must have the ability to write reports, business correspondence and be able to effectively present information, orally and in writing, to supervisory and executive management as well as to customers and other employees.
  • Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimals and fractions; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
