Baltimore Country Club is seeking a Full-time Restaurant Chef to oversee and elevate the operations of our a la carte kitchens. This leadership role is responsible for menu development, food quality, consistency, and the overall culinary experience delivered to our Members and Guests. The Restaurant Chef will manage daily kitchen operations while training, mentoring, and directing the culinary team to ensure all food is prepared, expedited, and executed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all a la carte kitchen operations
  • Develop seasonal and specialty menus in alignment with the Club's standards
  • Ensure exceptional quality, presentation, and timeliness of all dishes
  • Train, coach, and mentor culinary staff
  • Oversee food preparation, expediting, and execution during service
  • Maintain proper food-handling, safety, and sanitation practices
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership to support departmental goals

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of supervisory management experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Experience with a variety of dining venues; Country Club or fine dining experience is preferred but not required
  • Experience planning and designing menus as well as costing
  • Country Club or fine dining experience is preferred but not required
  • Proven experience successfully leading a culinary team in an upscale or high-volume restaurant
  • Strong background in upscale casual American cuisine and North Atlantic regional cuisines
  • Proficiency in culinary math, ordering processes, and Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Culinary degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to excellence and doing what is right, not what's easy
