To assist in maintaining Stella Maris grounds and exterior building.  To ensure that all roadways and sidewalks are accessible during incelment weather.  To work in conjunction with external contractors, supervised by the Department Director, on the overall beautification of Stella Maris.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Policing of the Stella Maris campus/property as it relates to trash and debris; removal of all trash from recepticals.

Regularly mows lawns, in assigned areas, with appropriate mowers as needed, always ensuring a well-maintained lawn.

• Historic house operated by Mercy/SMI until further notice (front/back yard)
• Other areas as requested/as needed

Maintains all grounds equipment in proper working order, including lubrication and cleaning; reports all necessary repairs. Maintains fuel tickets and submits to Department Director at month end.

Waters lawn and flower beds as required/needed to include external sundecks. If contractors need assistance will be assigned by Department Director.

Minor tree pruning as needed assigned by Department Director.

Shovels snow from sidewalks and driveways; spreads salt/sand to prevent slipping as needed.  Responds promptly to emergency snow removal calls.

Keeps accurate records of work performed and maintains needed documentation daily.

Class C Driver's License

Hiugh School Diploma or equivalent
