Position Title:  Early Head Start Supervising Teacher

Location: Lynchburg, VA; on-site

Summary: Take the next step in your early childhood career as an Early Head Start (EHS) Supervising Teacher. In this role, you’ll lead a classroom team while still doing what you love—working directly with infants and toddlers. You’ll create a safe, engaging environment where children can grow and thrive, while also supporting and coaching teachers, partnering with families, and helping shape a strong classroom culture. With built-in professional development and leadership opportunities, this role is ideal for someone ready to grow while making a meaningful impact every day.

Success In This Role Looks Like: 

  • Creating a warm, structured classroom where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
  • Leading and supporting teachers through coaching, feedback, and collaboration
  • Planning engaging, developmentallyappropriate activitiesusing a research-based curriculum
  • Building strong relationships with families through communication, conferences, and home visits
  • Using observations and assessments to support each child’s development
  • Working closely with program staff to ensure high-quality, inclusive services for all children
  • Keeping classrooms organized and aligned with program and licensing standards
